Kids Keep Safe-First Class in the South island

On Thursday we went to a programe called Kids Keep Safe. First we saw a pretend tramp try to look like a woman putting on make-up. Then Jane's sister came up and told us about how to say "NO!" and what to do after you say "NO!". This what you have to do after you say "NO!":Say "NO!". Run if that person trys to grab you. Yell or call for help as loud as you can. Try to wriggle free and put your hands out in front of you. Then once your free go and tell someone you trust about what just happend. They also said that we were the first class in the south island that were seeing this programe. We also learnt this rap that goes like this. "It's cool to keep safe 'cause my body is mine, I'll protect each part and I'll be just fine", boom boom you bang your fists with a friend at school or home and we all got a necklace with cards to keep safe. Hello Lachlan, Toby, Finn

I enjoyed the piece you wrote about the 'Kids Keep Safe' programme. I am pleased you learned how to say 'No' and I hope nothing ever happens that causes you to have to use what you learned.
