Marine Reserves


We have been talking about what it would be like if there weren't any marine reserves.
We think ....
there might be a law that no one could fish anywhere by Hamish
the rock pools would just be rocks, water and seaweed by Toby
There would be no fish left by Grace
It might be just deserted by Stella
there would be nothing to look at when you go diving by Kyle
It would be really really polluted by Georgia
There would be no crabs to see by Lewis
The sea would be murky by Max
People could throw heaps of junk into the sea and the fish could die by Jamie
The life cycle could stop by Sam
There wouldn't be any starfish by Sarah
There would be no fish and chips. By Mai

Use cars less because of Global Warming by Lewis

What we learnt about the Rocky Shore

Shells get there colour from there food.

LEARNZ FIELD TRIP
We have been on a Virtual Field Trip to Goat Island Marine Reserve. Our class couldn't actually go on the trip but we sent NCS Pooh Bear as our ambassador. We sent him e-mails. We watched videos and looked a pictures of the Marine Reserve. We have been thinking about the big question .... "What would the Rocky Shore be like if we didn't have any Marine Reserves?"
